We Don’t Make Bad Pitches – Green Grass Technology Chief

The head of Green Grass Technology Frank Boahen has dismissed claims his firm produces only sub-standard pitches in Ghana.
The reputable Ghanaian sports field experts have been accused of producing dodgy playing surfaces for their clients in Ghana.
The firm is in the news again for the wrong reasons over the state of the pitch in Prampram for the FIFA Goal Project IV.
But Frank Boahen explains his firms quality output is limited with the woeful resources provided for by his Ghanaian clients.
“For the pitch in Prampram the problem has to do with the lack of water,” he told Metro941.com
“We need huge volumes of water in order to roll the pitch and at the moment we are not getting that.
“I have spoken to the GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi and he understands the problem and what needs to be done.
“We probably will need to go and buy the right volume of water in order to roll the pitch.
“We don’t make bad pitches so for people to accuse us of this is very unfair.
“You don’t expect to have a pitch like the Accra Sports Stadium and give us GHS 30,000 to do it.
“We try to do our best with the resources we are given so people should be mindful of that.”
Ghana Premier League side Medeama recently complained about the state of their pitch handed Green Grass Technology handed them through the sponsorship of Goldfields and the Tarkwa Municipal Assembly.
