Watch Out For Kwame Opara….
He goes by the stage name ‘Kwame Opara’ but his real name is Eric Osei Opoku, one of the most talented composers with his music experience dating back in the 90’s.
Keeping his focus and dreaming big, he is now set to take the industry by storm with his debut album dubbed “Odo Nkomo”, an album blending both Hi-life and hip life mixes.
This amazing work was put together by KOP Records Label and was released just recently on 26th September 2013.
The album contains authentic Hi-life and Hiplife songs including hit tracks like, Gentle Man, Odo Papa Bi, Susu Jojoo Me and Madhusudana.
Kwame Opara aka (Sir Lovely) is a multi-talented artiste—He is a singer, rapper and record producer who discovered his career as a musician in the 90′s.
He is one of a kind who is highly spirited and having deep love for His career and also considers Himself Mr. ‘Music Emulsifier’. Indeed, he is very passionate and imbued with music by all standards.
Eric Osei Opoku was born on 1st September, 1984 in the Volta Region of Ghana in a town called Worawora.
He later migrated to the Ashanti Region but was fully raised and grew up in the capital city of Accra.
In 1997, Kwame Opara wrote his first song which was a gospel song called (Nyame Tease Daadaa) meaning ‘God Is Always A Living God.’
From a very humble start, he was inspired and motivated by ‘Obrafour’ De Executioner’s style of rap and so was mostly involved in rap competitions, but didn’t allow the rap to eat into his unique singing, since he also drew a lot of inspiration from the likes of Daddy Lumba who specialized in Hi-life.
In the year 2001, he had his first stage performance and ever since he was built with much courage and confidence to further climb any platform to do his own thing.
In 2002, he began recording demos on the ticket of Mido Production Recording Studios.
From this, came his first ever largest performance at a major outdoor event that time, at McDonald Maamobi Sanlah 1st celebration 2003.
This was where he played host to many thousands who participated in the event by exhibiting His musical skills—and since then, he has been a crowed mover gathering a lot of fans who have been his well wishers always looking up to something great from him in the Ghana music industry.
Today, we can safely say that the manifestation of his dreams has been a success story and has assured Ghanaians should expect nothing else than the best of music from him.
Indeed, Kwame Opara’s tongue will never rot.
