Watch how celebrities fumbled at the VGMA nomination ceremony

Reading out the list of nominees for the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards became a pretty stubborn challenge last Saturday night at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.

For some artistes and TV personalities including Big Brother Africa star Elikem, ‘Afro-pop’ is pronounced ‘afro-stat’ – making him the first candidate for an impending free senior high school policy.

Another  called out ghanaian artiste ‘Kwabena kwabena’ as ‘kwabenya kwabenya’ – the name of a town in Accra

Some artiste saw an occassion to flaunt their locally acquired foreign accent while others blamed their parents for their poor ‘twi’.
