Vodafone Ghana has surprised its customers in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi with cakes to commemorate this year’s Mother’s day celebration. The gesture is intended to reward customers who have remained loyal to the network whilst showing appreciation for them on a day that is very special to Ghanaians.
Explaining the rationale for the gifts, the Chief Marketing Officer, Uche Ofodile said that Vodafone recognises Mothers as special people and this initiative seeks to reach out and remind them not only of that, but also to thank them for their loyalty to the network.
She added that the Vodafone brand seeks to empower all of its customers, “by reaching out to them we can remind them how important they are to us”.
Partricia Moore, one of the lucky mothers in Dansoman who was very excited when Vodafone Ghana presented her with her cake, said she has been on the network for twelve years and had succeeded in getting her family onto the network because of the ‘Supreme Value’ offer.
“I feel very lucky to be one of the mothers to receive this special and unexpected gift from Vodafone to mark Mother’s day. It is a very pleasant surprise” she said.
In addition to this the telecoms company also gave over 200 women (customers) 10 minutes free airtime to reach their family members, friends and loved ones on the special day.
