Tony Parker posted a game-high 22 points and Danny Green shot seven threes to lift the Spurs to a 112-77 victory and a 2-0 series lead on Wednesday.
The Spurs also opened a 2-0 advantage against the Thunder in the 2012 Conference finals before fading away to eventually lose the series, though Oklahoma City then boasted a healthy Serge Ibaka and James Harden, the latter now at the Houston Rockets.
Parker had five assists in 28 minutes, while San Antonio team-mate Green lit up the floor with seven three-pointers in his 21-point performance.
Fellow veteran Tim Duncan was also impressive for the Spurs, contributing a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Spurs also had help off the bench thanks to Boris Diaw and Manu Ginobili, who scored 12 points apiece.
As for the Thunder, they were led by usual suspects Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, although both were kept quiet.
MVP Durant was restricted to just 15 points in 29 minutes of action ” his equal-lowest tally in the post-season.
Durant managed 15 points against the Memphis Grizzlies in game four of their conference semi-final series.
All-Star team-mate Westbrook also had 15 points along with five assists.
Jeremy Lamb (13 points) was the only other Oklahoma City player to make it into double figures.
