Unity Must Be The Basis For 2016 Victory -Ex-MP
The former Member of Parliament for the Nsuta-Kwaman-Beposo Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Osei Kwame Prempeh, has declared his intention to bring together whatever factions that exist in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in order to ensure a resounding victory for the party in 2016.
The ex-MP noted that the common enemy was the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), which had reportedly shattered Ghana’s economy.
Mr. Osei Prempeh, a long standing lawyer and one-time Deputy Minister of Justice and Attorney-General during the Kufuor-led administration, who is aspiring for the position of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, following the announced exit of the incumbent Chairman, Mr. F. F. Antoh, called on party members and supporters and Ghanaians to vote
massively for the NPP in the 2016 elections, to redeem the common man from degradation.
He said the NDC government had bestowed untold hardships on Ghanaians through bad governance, and should be booted out.
According to him, his total commitment to the party, coupled with his vast experience besides humility and respect for one another, was an embodiment of his ability to garner more votes for the party’s victory in the Ashanti Region, widely believed to be the stronghold of the party.
‘I believe I can offer quality leadership that will bring on board intellectuals, including doctors, lecturers, nurses, teachers, bankers, journalists, lawyers, and floating voters to make sure NPP does not miss out in the 2016 elections,’ he said.
Mr. Osei Prempeh endorsed the call by the 2012 flagbearer of the party, Nana Akufo-Addo, on the following of the party to eschew rancuor and divisive tendencies in the party, and evolve strategies that would bring the NPP back to power.
