Torgubi Zewuze Appeals To IGP To Jail Nana Obinim Killers

The General Sectary for Ghana Association of Psyches, the Great Torgubi Zewuze, a Suhum-based herbalist and spiritualist has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney General to drastically deal with the suspects, who allegedly murdered Nana Obinim Asare, an Nkawkaw-based fetish Priest.

The angry Suhum Spiritualist noted that, the suspects are armed robbers, who went there to rob Nana Obinim, took his money and drove off his newly purchased Toyota Tundra and killed him in the process when they failed in their attempt rubbishing reports that they gave Nana Obinim monies for doubling.

Torgbui Zewuze made these known at a press conference in Suhum, after news broke out that, their member [Nana Obinim Asare] was killed.

‘It is not true that they have paid any money to the late Obinim. I’m telling you that they went there to rob the man and when they failed in their attempt killed him and his linguist. All that they are saying are things to set themselves free from the law’.

He added that ”Ghanaians must respect the laws of the land and desist from taking the law into their own hands by killing innocent people without any justification, adding that, even if the late Obinim had collected the said amount of money, the suspects should not have killed him but rather report him to the authorities.”

He urged the general public to treat the claims of the suspects with contempt because their claims lacked grounds to be credible and because there was nobody to respond to the claims, they (suspects) are just saying anything to get out of the grips of the law.

Torgubi Zewuze further called on the Ghana Police Service to prosecute the suspects, adding that, the Government of Ghana has given them license to operate, and therefore, if the albatross is been hang on their neck, that fetish priests are fraud, their clients would rejected them, which they don’t want that, but want the law to takes its cost.

Early reports last weekend indicated that the dreaded and powerful traditional priest (juju man) Nana Obinim Asare, 46 and his linguist Owusu Asare, 32 of Kwah- Besease of Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region were murdered in cold blood which caused panic in the community.

What was more shocking to the incident, according to the residents, was the fact that the late juju man and linguist were allegedly killed by some four (4) young men and two accomplices on that fateful day, and they were buried by the assailants at the public cemetery of the area.
.

The famous juju man is told of hav had about 909 gods from Benin with their shrine built at Kwahu- Besease. It was however discovered that, after paying a huge sum of undisclosed amount to Nana Obinim and his linguist, the young men were taken through certain rituals and subsequently asked to go home and wait for their financial breakthrough.

It emerged that, the youth started numbering their day of riches but there was no sight of them becoming rich as their financial situation continued to deteriorate by the day.

The sources further disclosed that, when the suspects went to collect the money, the deceased pretended to be a mad man, and behaving strangely, where they also got angry and hit him and the linguist with the pestle.

Giving an eyewitness account, one person who gave his name as Kojo told this reporter that on the night of Wednesday at about 10:30 pm, he heard a strange sound from the fetish priest’s house and later the sound of his car engine.
