Third relegation spot to be decided on final day of the season

With the title race decided, the last relegation place will be confirmed when the curtains are drawn on the final day of the First Capital Plus Premier League season on Wednesday.

Amidaus Professionals and Ebusua Dwarfs have already bowed out of the Premier League ahead of the match-day-30 fixtures across the country.

Whiles the battle to escape the drop limbers into the final round, the chase for the second position, which automatically secures Champions League football is also on with Heart of Lions holding a two-point advantage over Hearts of Oak.

All the Clubs know where they stand and their chances of survival ahead of a busy midweek which will go down as one of the best match days in the history of the premiership.

Five teams – Bechem, New Edubiase, Medeama, Berekum Chelsea and Liberty Professionals – are all level on points, 39, going into the last round of games.

Lying 14th, Aduana need to beat Kotoko and pray results in the other matches involving relegation contenders go their way.

There’s a big game in Kumasi where King Faisal and Chelsea will play for all three points with either side aware of the effect a defeat could have on their chances of retaining their place in the elite league.

Medeama will be eager to take all the three points at the T&A Park where they play Hasaacas.

At the Tema Stadium, bottom side, Amidaus will play their last game in the top-flight when they take on Bechem.

Liberty Professionals after missing the opportunity to lift themselves into safety following defeat at home to AshantiGold over the weekend travel to Wa to meet Wa All Stars.

New Edubiase boosted their chances of survival by winning at home on Sunday but they face a big task in the clash with Hearts of Oak at the Accra Stadium.

The Phobians,sitting in third place have their sights fixed on finishing second behind rivals, Kotoko.

Hearts of Oak will be keeping their eyes on the happenings in Obuasi where second-placed side, Heart of Lions will be in action against AshantiGold.

Lions need just a draw to secure the second spot.
And finally in Cape Coast, Dwarfs will bid goodbye to the Premier League in their battle with Inter Allies.
