Kwamena Idan is one of the few radio presenters in the country who has been able to maintain his image on the music scene for more than a decade now.
He is currently the host of Adom FM Live Worship from Monday to Friday between 2:00pm and 3:00pm and on Sunday from 12:30pm to 3:00pm.
His activities on radio have probably inspired many people to consider a career in radio and he is gradually making his way to the top as his admirers keep increasing every day.
Since his entry into radio, courtesy Windy Bay FM, Kwamena has won the hearts of myriad radio listeners in Accra and its environs.
Kwamena Idan, who is keen on improving his performance and promoting the radio industry in Ghana, added that the way to succeed in radio broadcast should be long-term strategies based on effective techniques, churning out quality signals, which would go a long way to create strong and successful radio station operation.
In an interview with BEATWAVES, Kwamena pointed out that he would not rest on his oars until he reaches the top, adding, ‘The sky is my limit. I will work hard to maintain the good image I have attained so far as a presenter and I would always think of satisfying my listeners and admirers in whatever I do.’
For more than three years, Kwamena Idan has maintained the standard and consistency since he started hosting his programme, Adom FM Live Worship and has hosted the programme not only in the studios of Adom FM but also at the Royalhouse Chapel, Action Church, International Deliverance Prayer Ministry, among others.
He has also consistently demonstrated excellence and creativity, and has an uncanny ability to connect with his listenership, a unique trait that has made him a household name.
Kwamena is a natural talent that has been refined by years of vast experience, exposure and unique insight into the needs and wants of his listenership.
Throughout his broadcasting career, he has been a true player of good gospel music and has a good deal of air time and anytime he is on air, he magically woos his listeners to his side until it’s all over.
He has credited Adom FM for providing the platform to help him grow professionally, saying, ‘Adom FM is an environment for creative minds so there is no reason to fail.’
Kwamena, a student of Data Link University in Tema, started radio broadcasting 17 years ago with Radio Windy Bay in Winneba and later moved to Merit FM, now Angel FM in Kumasi as the drive time host for three years before joining Light FM also in Kumasi to host its drive time programme. Kwamena also worked with Goodnews FM in Takoradi as its mid morning show host.
He joined Adom FM in 2007 and has since been working with the station. He has made a name for himself as the finest radio presenter in Ghana today.
