‘The Pulpit’ Season IV Launched
TV3‘s most popular children gospel reality show dubbed: ‘The Pulpit’ was on May 17, 2014 launched at studio ‘B’ of the network in Accra.
The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Augustine Boakye-Yiadom, hinted that ‘TV3 is privileged to have introduced programmes on its screens which will not only excite viewers but also leave them with lasting experiences for life.’
The CCO continued that the underlying vision for the introduction of ‘The Pulpit’ was based on the biblical principle of ‘train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6)’ and ‘Go into the world and preach the gospel to all creations (Mark 16:15).’
Mr Yiadom-Boakye further said ‘The Pulpit’, among other benefits, would shape the moral uprightness of children and viewers and also inspire the young generation that there is hope for Ghana’s youth and the world as a whole.
He urged the 12 constestants often referred to as the ‘Disciples’ to give off their best not only to merit the awards but to sufficiently impact on society through the sermons they would be delivering over the next 13 week period.
The CCO also added that children between the age brackets of 10-14 met the selection criteria at the Kumasi, Takoradi and Accra audition centres.
Mr Yiadom-Boakye lauded parents for their keen interest to present their children for the auditioning and urged them (parents) to help TV3 at unearthing the hidden potentials of the children.
The reigning champion for season IV, 13-year-old Godslove Ansah in a sermon based on the theme: ‘Teaching Christian Principles’ (II Timothy 3:14-17), urged parents to train up their children in the way of the Lord.
She said children who are brought up in the fear of the Lord have more than 80 percent chances of succeeding in life and have higher levels of tolerance to endure challenges in life.
Godslove urged the season IV contestants to eschew all forms of laziness and endure the experiences while in the house.
