"The Police Is Not Making Sense"- Bulldog’s Father

The father of Lawrence Asiamah Hanson a.k.a Bulldog says his son is innocent of the crime he is suspected to have committed.

Mr. Jacob Hanson who is clearly not happy about the arrest of his son believes Bulldog is being unlawfully held by the Police.

The Police Homicide Unit of the CID on Thursday arrested Bulldog who manages dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, as the prime suspect in investigations of the murder of Fennec Okyere, who managed Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kesse.

According to the Police, Bulldog allegedly sent threatening text messages to the deceased and also publicly threatened him on live radio, hence; his arrest.

A private legal practitioner, Kwame Akuffo, in an earlier interview with Citi News however mentioned that, the basis on which the Police arrested Bulldog is untenable adding that, it is wrong for the Police to tag him as a suspect.

Speaking on Peace FM’s ‘Entertainment Review’ program, Mr. Hanson said “I feel we have been wronged, I feel there is no justice here and there is a preach of human rights. All what the police are saying does not make sense to me because you need evidence before they make such arrest. It is not just a matter of speculating and circumstantial evidence then you rush and hold somebody in custody for this length of time”.

Mr. Hanson said all the speculations and rumours making rounds will not affect anything. “All the framed up stories in the newspapers and the speculations, we don’t consider them and wherever or whoever it is being directed from, it will not affects us in anyway by God’s grace”.

He said the Police only invited him over to the station and they had friendly chat with him. They held him and they wasted his time till evening then they said they have arrested him.

In wee hours of Thursday March 13, 2014, some unknown assailants stabbed Fennec to death in his private off the Spintex Road, Accra.

The Police subsequently offered a cash reward of GHC 20,000 to any person or persons who will volunteer credible information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in the murder of Fennec Okyere.
