Tennis: Ghana Won’t Win Any Medals

Former national tennis star, Eric Amoah believes Ghana will not win any medal at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Ex Tennis star believes Ghana has not put in adequate preparations for the games slated for Glasgow in July this year.

Team Ghana won three medals at the last edition in Delhi, India four years ago.

“You don’t have a team to win medals at the Competition. I am not being controversial but if you want to develop Sports, you need to look in the right direction. Come on, we have to be serious,” Amoah said.

The 2007 All African Bronze medalist says it is unfortunate that the disciplines that were once the nation’s strongest sports have not be given the needed support to develop as compared to the other well-patronised sports.

“We don’t do anything for the other sporting disciplines and we want them to win medals for us. Are they magicians?”
