Substitute Charles Takyi Scores His Debut Goal Of The Season For Energie Cottbus
Ghana attacker Charles Takyi came off the bench to score the third goal for Energie Cottbus in their 4-2 win over Arminia Bielefeld in the German Liga 2 on Friday evening.
The 28-year-old former St Pauli midfielder was introduced as a 65th minute substitute for Marc-Andre Kruska and he grabbed his debut goal of the season with a fine strike in the 77th minute.
Takyi powered home a fierce low volley from 16 yards out to fire Cottbus 3-2 ahead as they went ahead to pile more pressure with Thomas Hübener gifting them an own-goal to end their four game winless run.
The attacking midfielder signed for Cottbus from Danish side Horsens and had scored once in 8 games for them.
