Curler Scott Andrews admitted to some disappointment at losing 9-3 to Canada,
but more in terms of their performance rather than the colour of the medal
they’ll take home with them.
For skip Murdoch, the medal is a culmination of years of hard work.
He suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the bronze medal match in Turin 2006,
before his highly-rated side lost to Sweden in a play-off in the Vancouver
Games of 2010.
Undoubtedly the highlight of his illustrious career, Murdoch admitted that he
wasn’t quite ready to hang up his broom.
In response to the suggestion that young team-mate Andrews already has one eye
on Pyeongchang 2018, he admitted that the team are a talented young group
and that he’s quite like to be part of their next campaign.
