Louis van Gaal, who steps down as coach of the Netherlands after the World
Cup
, has reiterated that he could consider managing Tottenham
Hotspur
in the future.

“I will definitely not be in charge for the Euro 2016 qualification campaign.
I don’t know where I will go next,” said Van Gaal after the Euro 2016
draw in Nice.

“I have said before that a challenge should be a club in the Premier
League
,”

“Maybe Tottenham are coming, but first we have to go to Brazil. I will
definitely not be in charge for the European campaign.”

Tim Sherwood was initially handed the Spurs managerial role on a temporary
basis after Andre Villas-Boas was sacked, before signing his own 18-month
contract at White Hart Lane.

Spurs currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League, six points behind
fourth-placed Liverpool.
