of the team to play Sunderland in the league today.

League following his £42m transfer from Real Madrid, Ozil has delivered
little in 2014, failing to score in his last nine games and providing only
two assists in that period.
Ozil was so disappointed by his display against Bayern that he
posted a message on Facebook in which he apologised to the fans. “Sorry
guys – it wasn’t planned that way,” he wrote.
Wenger said at his Friday press conference that Ozil was struggling to come to
terms with the missed penalty and defeat. “Is he over it now? Certainly not,
because 48 hours is a short time to get over that, but it is part of the job
as well to deal with disappointment and to show that you can respond to it.”
However, Telegraph Sport understands that Wenger is now giving serious
consideration to “resting” Ozil, with Olivier
Giroud one of the players ready to return to the starting line-up.
