Spain: the title definitely away from Real Madrid

This time, it’s official. Real Madrid can no more become champion of Spain this season.

The Merengue club said farewell to La Liga title Sunday as they suffered a 0-2 humiliation against Celta Vigo.

With a lot of withdrawals in that meeting namely Ronaldo, Benzema, Pepe, Di Maria and Varane , Real could prove nothing. The men of Carlo Ancelotti have eventually bowed on two defensive errors by Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso that their opponents did not fail to seize.

With 84 points placing them 5 units adrift of Atletico Madrid at a day of the season end, Real has lost all chances to be sacred this season as champions of Spain.

Now they will put all the remaining hopes on the Champions League title that they will try on May 24 to wrench out of the golden hands of in-form Atletico Madrid who are still hinting at surprising feats at both national and European levels.
