Reports reaching BEATWAVES indicate that the self-acclaimed dancehall king, Shatta Wale, is likely to perform at the much-awaited musical concert dubbed ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ slated for Saturday, May 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). The deal, according to sources, is yet to be signed between Shatta Wale and the management of ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ before the end of the week.
According to sources, the new development ‘is as a result of high demand from Shatta Wale’s fans putting pressure on the organisers to include Shatta.’
If the deal is sealed, then, Shatta Wale is billed to perform alongside Sarkodie, Guru, Castro, Lil Win, Kcee, Davido, Wizboy and a host of others.
This year’s ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ according to Bola Ray, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Empire Entertainment, organisers of the event, would bring together the best of Ghana and Nigeria’s music industries to entertain music fans.
He stressed that the concert would be a unique experience for fans, adding that Ghanaians should come and experience an extraordinary musical concert on May 24.
Bola Ray disclosed that both Nigerian and Ghanaian stars billed to perform at the event at the AICC have promised to put up splendid performances at the event.
While artistes from both countries are seriously preparing for a major showdown on the night, Bola Ray maintained that ‘Ghana Meets Naija’ ‘is a musical concert aimed at fostering unity between the two countries, celebrating brotherhood and similarities between cultures and musical trends.’
