Schlupp thrilled and hoping to reach Brazil

It’s been a very rewarding season for Jeffrey Schlupp as he is now on the verge of going to the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Ghana.

Weeks after helping Leicester City to gain promotion to the Premiership in England, the 21 year-old left-back was named as one of the few surprise selections his 26-man preliminary squad for next month’s competition in Brazil.

Schlupp, who has just one cap to his name back in November 2011 is thrilled to have earned a place in Kwesi Appiah’s plans and says he is very ‘honoured’ with the call up having

“I feel honoured to be part of the 26-man squad, and hopefully I’ll make it into the 23-man squad to go to Brazil,” said SchluppI grew up.

“I grew up watching the World Cup so to be involved in it is really a good achievement for me.”
