Sarkodie and Shatta Wale Working On An Album Together?

Recent claims suggest that Ghana’s rap king Sarkodie and the dancehall king Shatta Wale have held discussions on collaborating on a new release together.

According to our sources, Sarkodie and Shatta have been recording a number of tracks; one of which is a song tentatively titled “Megye Wo Girl”.

Shatta Wale, who recently returned to the country from his highly acclaimed “US tour”, has been very open to the idea of having Sarkodie feature on his tracks.

Sarkodie previously paused his performance at the Rexona Do More party concert to give respect to Shatta Wale. Getting the crowd to chant ‘Wale’ repeatedly before telling them that, Shatta Wale ‘ruled’ Accra.

“Shatta and Sarkodie has known each other for a while and have become more cordial over time. I believe the prospect is very high that we will be seeing them working in the studio together,” the source tells BiGxGh.

“The truth is Sarkodie respects Shatta’s music, and he has been thinking about this joint venture for a while,” the source added.
To put the icing on the cake, Shatta Wale in a tweet yesterday, seemed to have confirmed the collaboration even though he came off in a playful manner. Shatta said :

If @sarkodie is my new found lover then u shd expect our new wedding album coming soon…u always give us ideas to create.lol

While nothing formal has been made, Sarkodie has confirmed the release of the ‘Megye Wo Girl’ single before the end of 2014.
