THE GENERAL Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), Rev Dr Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, has called on Christians to resist the temptation of allowing themselves to be swayed away from their strong Christian faith.

He added that although Christians are being confronted with a lot of financial challenges these days, ‘do not be swayed from your hard won Christian faith.’

He added that such encounters or hardships are the test of faith and endurance every Christian experiences at a point in life to prove the level of their Christian maturity.

The General Secretary of CCG said this in a sermon during the dedication of a 5-bedroom single storey manse for the Atomic Hills United Church, Ashongman, Accra, on June 22, 2014.

Rev Dr Opuni further urged Christians to be mindful of the activities of false prophets ‘who are claiming to have prophetic messages from God or healing powers to perform miracles.’

He reiterated the need for Christians to spend profitable time studying the word of God, pray and also be guided through divine inspiration in their day to day actions.

Rev Dr Opuni commended the members of the church for putting up the manse to house the pastor and family, among other guests.

He, however, urged the members to ensure that the beauty of the manse is maintained over the years.

The Resident Pastor of the church, Rev Dr Twum Baah, said the construction of the manse took three years and cost GH¢380, 000.00

He expressed appreciation to the members of the church for their high level of commitment to raise the needed funds for the project.
