Records for Sandra Perkovic, Ivana Spanovic in Eugene

The Croatian left it until her last attempt to deliver her winning throw of 69.32 metres at Hayward Field in Eugene.

German Shanice Craft (65.38m) and American Gia Lewis-Smallwood (64.98m) were no match for Perkovic, who broke the two-year-old record (66.92m).

Serbian Ivana Spanovic broke a national record in the women’s long jump on her way to a narrow win.

With 6.88m, Spanovic edged Russian Darya Klishina (6.88m) and Frenchwoman Eloyse Lesueur (6.87m).

Americans dominated the men’s shot put.
Reese Hoffa (21.64m) claimed the win ahead of Joe Kovacs (21.46m) and Christian Cantwell (21.38m).
