Rashid Kwarasey, Brother of Ghana Keeper Adam, On Trials With Hearts of Oak

Norway-based striker Rashid Kwarasey has arrived in Ghana and has started trials with local giants Hearts of Oak, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 27-year-old, who is a brother of Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, arrived in Ghana six weeks ago to begin his dream of playing in the country.

Rashid started training with Hearts three weeks ago but has been left to train in the gym alone as he is recovering from a thigh injury.

The striker, who is heavily built, played for Norwegian sides Lyn Oslo, Skeid and Oslo Øst before deciding to come to Ghana to relaunch his career.

“I am delighted to be in Ghana to play for Hearts of Oak but first they must see me in training before they can make any decision,” Rashid Kwarasey told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“I support Hearts of Oak and because they are in Accra too it makes it easier for me as my father has a house in Accra where I can live comfortably.

“At the moment I am recovering from injury so I can fully train with the full team so I am waiting to recover fully before they will make a decision about me.

“It is always nice to return home to play in my own country after living in Norway for many many years. I hope I can make an impact at Hearts of Oak.”

Rashid was instrumental in convincing his brother Adam as a younger age to opt to play for Ghana instead of Norway.
