Prez Mahama Stops Gyeeda

The request for proposals to implement an ICT model presently being advertised by GYEEDA is without authorization and should be withdrawn, a press release from the Ministry of Information and Media Relations has said.

The release signed by the sector Minister, Mr Mahama Ayariga on Thursday, explained that the order follows a directive from the Office of the President which reiterates that “all directives on GYEEDA remain in force”.

It further stated: “The President directs the Acting Executive Director of GYEEDA to expedite action on the reforms contained in the initial Presidential directives on GYEEDA to pave the way for implementation of modules that would create job opportunities for the youth”.
