Preview: Kotoko close in on title, relegation rivalry continues

It’s a busy Easter weekend of football action in the Premier League which will help to shape the title destination and battle to avoid relegation.

There are 15 points to play for as the as the race to escape the drop enters another crucial week with as many as six different sides just three points above the relegation zone.

At this stage of the season, every point dropped would prove crucial as it could be serve as a boost or a dampener to another side’s ambitions.

Apart from the top, there is no position of relative comfort on the standing – there’s an eleven-point gap between the second placed team the 14th placed Club who find themselves in the drop zone.

Hearts of Oak appear to have lost a bit of steam as their challenge for the top looks over but are in still in the race for the second CAF Champions League slot having slipped into third position

Though three points behind the team in second, the Phobians will be counting on home comfort when they take on Bechem United at the Accra Stadium.

With the battle for survival not just for teams in the relegation bracket, Wa All Stars and King Faisal who are both three points clear of the drop will battle for all the spoils in Wa as either side push to pull clear.

Hasaacas’ top-four hopes continue this weekend on their travel to Bekwai where they clash with New Edubiase at the Gyamfi Park.

Bottom club, Aduana Stars with a game in hand on their relegation rivals will push for all the points at the Agyemang Badu Park with the visit of Berekum Chelsea to conclude a massive weekend of action.
