The newly elected President of the Advertisers Association of Ghana, Joel Nettey has called for the swift passage of the Advertising Council bill.
The bill which has been reviewed by Cabinet according to him will bring about reforms to move the advertising industry forward.
‘The bill if passed by Parliament will help to regulate outdoor, TV and radio advertising and bring sanity into the industry’ he added.
Mr. Nettey who was elected together with 10 other Council members at an extra ordinary general meeting in Accra, said he would work to ensure the needs of the industry are met.
As a means to address the lack of information flow of the association, he announced plans to set up a monthly e-newsletter to be circulated to all members, corporate and individual, with an update of what the Association’s activities.
