Placement Raises $415,000 For Ghana Gold Expansion
Viking Ashanti Limited (“Viking” or the “Company” – ASX code: “VKA”) is pleased to announce an equity capital raising of up to A$415,000 (before costs) via a placement of up to 8,300,000 shares at $0.05 each (“Placement”). The Placement will be to professional and sophisticated investors and was managed by Emerald Partners Limited, Sydney (“Emerald”).
Viking Ashanti is a Perth-based and ASX listed company focused on advanced gold exploration projects in Ghana, West Africa.
The Placement will take the total issued capital of the Company to 90,150,580 ordinary shares and 22,683,913 options exercisable at $0.18 on or before 31 August 2014.
The proceeds from the Placement will be used to fund evaluation of a potential corporate transaction and for general working capital purposes.
