Osahene Katekyi Busumakura III Marks 10th Year Anniversary Of His Installation
Osahene Katekyi Busumakura III, King of Takoradiman will hold an Appreciation Service on Saturday, 9th March, 2013 to commence a year-long celebration of the 10 year anniversary of his installation as the Takoradiman-Hene.
The Thanksgiving Service is to show appreciation to the Almighty God for His guidance, mercy and provision throughout Osahene’s reign during the past decade.
The event will also be used to launch the Osahene Sustainable Development Programme for Takoradiman. God has brought us this far and we are grateful to him.
Commenting on the Thanksgiving Service, Osahene Katekyi Busumakura III said; “my vision is to continue with his help to make this gift he has given us, Takoradiman, an attractive port city and an enviable investment centre by 2025 through effective marketing of the city, focusing on human capital development, alternative livelihood projects and improved land management.”
Since his enstoolment as Takoradiman-Hene, Osahene has introduced tremendous developments to Takoradi. Among these is a partnership project to be one of Ghana’s first mixed-use cities,, King City, which is expected to be developed in Takoradi.
He is also in the process of establishing a University, the Takoradi Institute of Science and Technology (TIST), to offer flagship courses including Oil and Gas Engineering, Petro-Chemical Engineering and Biological Sciences.
The thanksgiving service is expected to host various guests including management of companies and institutions as well as representatives of the Christian community in Takoradi.
About Osahene Katekyi Busumakura III
Osahene Katekyi Busumakura III is the Paramount chief of Takoradi. Born on 26th March, 1957 at Asakai- Takoradiman, Osahene is known in his professional life as Rev. Dr. Fiifi Quayson.
He holds a Doctorate of Ministry from the Faith Evangelical Theological College and Seminary, Accra, a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries from the same institution and a Diploma in Theology from the Errol School of Theology and Biblical Languages, Accra.
He has also studied Leadership and Management at the Netherlands Christian Chamber of Commerce.
