He said it was unfortunate that the three splinter groups could not come together to win elections and added that once they were divided, no Ghanaian would vote for any splinter group.

The splinter groups are the CPP, People’s National Convention (PNC) and the Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP). He also mentioned the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) as a breakaway party that needed to be brought on board if the Nkrumaist forces were to be taken seriously.

He said the current rift among the three national vice chairmen and the national chairman of the CPP did not augur well for the party’s quest to win political power.

Mr Ahiadzro, who is also the shadow minister of tourism and creative arts and a member of the central committee of the CPP, said under those circumstances, the CPP could be playing second fiddle to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He said the CPP should forget it if the Nkrumaist parties could not unite, adding that some people had consulted him to contest the position of the national chairman of the CPP but could only do that if the Nkrumaist groups were united.

He admonished the CPP to stop singing “there is victory for us,” and asked: “Where is the victory with these splinter groups?”

Mr Ahiadzro said the ‘winner takes all system’ was not helping the nation and he was of the conviction that it should be reviewed.

He called on Ghanaians to pray for President Mahama’s administration to overcome present challenges because the situation in the country was so terrible that it needed prayers for redemption.

He expressed the hope that the economy could be fixed before 2016 but through a lot of consultations with relevant experts.
