The agent of Bechem United’s Augustine Okrah has likened the player to a priceless convertible car because in his view he is one of the most versatile youngsters in world football.
FIFA agent Oliver Arthur believes the newly-installed Ghana Premier League goal king is the perfect example of a a classical ‘number 10″ playmaker role.
‘I have been asked if Okrah is an out-and-out striker, a left-winger or a typical playmaker. I say all because he has been phenomenal in each position,’ Arthur told GHANASoccernet.com.
”You can easily switch him around the traditional descriptive positions of 11, 7, 10 and 9 and still get a phenomenal output.’
The ace players’ agent also said his decision to scout Okrah from Asante Kotoko for Bechem United was ‘never a gamble’ because he had 100% belief in ability to be Ghana’s most valuable local player.
He added: ‘ArthurLegacy Sports took the decision to sign-on Okrah because I have known him for years and never understood why he was underused at his club because of his huge growth potential.
‘I knew he had the ability to be the best in Ghana so we groomed him to be the best locally – the top scorer and best player he is today. Obviously, the only thing I got wrong on him is him making it to Brazil 2014.’
Okrah scored a staggering 20 goals this season, scoring or contributing to +90% of all goals scored by Bechem United.
He ended the season top scorer in all competitions and as player of the season for the First Capital Plus Premier League.
There are rumours Okrah has been sold to an Italian club for €450,000 with Bechem retaining 30% of his commercial value.
