NPP Supporters Asked To Close Ranks

The chief of Assin Edubiase in the Assin South District of the Central Region, Nana Woasamaa Essuman Ababio, has emphatically stated that a government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be the only administration that would restore hope to Ghanaians when given the nod.

Nana Ababio said supporters of the party should therefore put their differences behind them and douse the confusion which has currently raised its ugly head in the party, which could undoubtedly destroy the party’s chances of winning the 2016 elections.

He gave the advice during a fundraising ceremony for the Assin South Constituency branch of the party at Assin Edubiase.

Nana Ababio stressed that Ghanaians would never forgive the NPP if it did not put the infighting aside and strategise to recapture power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), adding that unity would be the only motivation for victory in the next elections.

The Regional Organizer of the party, Mr. Agyei Baffour, said that plans were underway for the party to recapture all the seats in the region.

He therefore appealed to polling station and constituency executives as well as patrons and Council of Elders to do their best to help the party achieve its vision.

The Cape Coast South Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Ernest Arthur, who chaired the ceremony, maintained that the party was broke and therefore urged supporters and people who are sympathetic to the cause of the party to assist financially.

The Assin South Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Derrick Owusu Ambrose, hinted that although the executives are willing to work for the party, they lack a lot of resources.

Mr. Owusu Ambrose revealed that they needed a lot of money to do research to enable them give accurate information to the public to vote for the party, and also explain its policies and programmes to the electorate.
