NPP Need Strategists To Win 2016 Election
Speaking to DAILY GUIDE, the KNUST graduate, who is now a social worker, said the NPP cannot depend on the law court to win the next election owing to the recent Supreme Court verdict.
According to her, noise making by supporters on radio would not help the NPP to wrest power from the NDC.
She said most parties across the globe win elections improved strategies.
Ms Oware-Aboagye said she would help her beloved NPP to adopt effective strategies to help the NPP attract the youth and floating voters in 2016.
In this regard, she said, the NPP needs strategists to formulate effective policies to help the party win more votes and also counter all the ‘dirty’ tricks of the NDC.
She said she would not bank her hopes on gender to win the position, stressing that she is competent and experienced enough to beat the other contenders.
According to her, the party’s delegates know her credentials.
Gifty served as election observer for the NPP in the 2004 and 2008 polls and took part in the TESCON outreach programmes for 2007.
Ms Oware-Aboagye initiated ‘Think Ghana Project to sensitize the youth about the policies of Nana Akufo-Addo.
She said the NPP needs to give new entrants, especially the vibrant youth, the opportunity to occupy key positions in the party and work assiduously to deliver a painful defeat to the NDC in 2016.
Gifty, who has established ‘Berry Empowerment Foundation,’ a women empowerment foundation, said she would use her persuasive skills to woo more women from the NDC and other political parties to the NPP.
According to her, through her event organization firm dubbed, ‘Berry Event,’ she would organize entertainment programmes across the country to communicate the NPP’s policies and plans to the youth to develop Ghana.
