The 16th National Delegates Conference of the opposition New Patriotic Party is currently underway at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

The theme for the Conference is “Our Roots, Our Strenght, Our Future.”

44 aspirants are contesting for the positions of:
National Chairman
National Vice Chairman
General Secretary
National Organiser
National Women’s Organiser
National Youth Organiser
National Treasurer
National Nasara Coordinator

Guidelines for Voting
There shall be voting by Proxy in the election
For national vice chairman position delegates shall cast votes for three contestants and shall be ranked first, second and third vice chairperson elect. 11 aspirants are vying for the position.

There shall be eight polling centres at the voting venue;

Ashanti
Greater Accra
Northern
Eastern
Western
Upper West
Brong Ahafo/Central
Upper East/Volta
All External delegates, 15 National Council Members, 15 National Council of Patrons, National Executive Committee Members would cast their votes at the Upper West Polling Centre.

Each voting centre shall have a delegates list of their particular region comprising regional executive committee.

Campaigning ends at 5pm, Friday. No camping of delegates; no inducements of any kind or form shall be entertained at the conference grounds.
