No help yet for Yendi rainstorm victims

Victims of Thursday’s rainstorm in Yendi in the Northern region are yet to receive help from National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
The assembly is now assessing the extent of damage caused by the rainstorm before any assistance can be given.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Yendi, Issah Zakaria told Multi TV’s Hashmin Mohammed that the assembly was yet to decide what assistance to give the affected persons.
The NADMO Director in the Region, Bigah Coffie pleaded with residents to be patient as his outfit is now taking stock of the extent of damage.
Several persons were rendered homeless in Yendi as a result of a storm.
Roofs of school buildings, markets, government agencies were all ripped off, however no casualties were recorded.
