Yobo Upbeat About World Cup Chances

On loan Norwich City defender Joseph Yobo remains optimistic about his chances of featuring in a third Fifa World Cup with the Super Eagles.

Injury delayed the Nigeria skipper’s earnest chances of closing in on his 100 cap in the World Cup warm-up against Mexico earlier in the month, but the Fenerbahce of Turkey loanee insists he is upbeat about his chances of playing in Brazil.

“I had a hamstring strain that forced me to miss the last friendly,” Yobo was quoted as as saying on Pink’un. “Since I came to Norwich I have said all along the most important thing for me is to help the football club. I am the captain of the national team and that has not changed but of course the World Cup is special for every player.
