Governor Mukhtar Yero has expressed shock on the death of a member representing Kauru/Chawai Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Shaibu Tukura, and the Chief of Chawai, Alhaji Mohammed Yahaya, who died on Tuesday.
Yero noted that the lawmaker would be greatly missed for his commitment to the well being of the people of his constituency.
He said Tukura had contributed positively to the development of the state and had departed at a time that his presence was most needed.
“Honourable Tukura was a distinguished lawmaker, who dedicated his time in the Assembly to making positive contributions to the process of formulating laws that will improve the living conditions of the people. Kaduna State has indeed lost an illustrious son and one of our fertile minds in the legislature,” Yero said.
Also, in another condolence letter, the governor said the state would miss the immense contribution of the Sarkin Chawai, especially in the peace building process, which the late monarch succeeded in entrenching in his domain.
While condoling with the people of Kauru/Chawai communities and the immediate families of the deceased, he called on them to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived an accomplished life worthy of emulation.
