Sunshine Stars Force Enyimba to a Goalless Draw

Thursday’s rescheduled Glo Premier League matches between Enyimba FC and Sunshine Stars ended in stalemate as Bayelsa United and Warri Wolves claimed victories at home.

A Musa Najare 71st minute penalty separated Wolves and El Kanemi Warriors in Warri. Najare converted from 12 yards to break the deadlock after Joshua Obaje was brought down in the area.

Bayelsa United defeated Sharks by a lone goal courtesy of veteran left-back Mutiu Adegoke in the 20th minute.

Thursday’s top of the bill tie failed to produce a goal as Sunshine goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezennwa came up with some terrific saves to deny Enyimba victory.

Emeka Nwanna missed a clear-cut goal-scoring opportunity thanks to Ezenwa’s superlative effort in goal for Sunshine.

Sunshine almost assumed the ascendancy but Dele Olorundare’s 51st minute effort was far from convincing.

In-form Enyimba forward Abdulrahaman Bashir should have scored six minutes later but missed another glorious chance as both teams settled for a 0-0 draw.
