The remains of Senator Isaiah Balat, who was a special adviser to Vice President Namadi Sambo until his death, will be laid to rest in Gora Bafai, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Wednesday.

Among those expected at the funeral are the Vice President Namadi Sambo, the Senate President, David Mark, Kaduna state governor, Mukhtar Yero.
Meanwhile, tomorrow(Wednesday) has been declared a work-free day for civil servants in Zangon Kataf LGA to enable them to pay their last respect, who represented them at the Senate between 2003 and 2007.
This was contained in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Mr. Ben Bako, in Kaduna on Monday.
It said, “The body of the Late Distinguished Senator Isaiah Balat, will leave the National Hospital, Abuja and will be expected to arrive Kaduna by 12 noon on Tuesday, 25 February, 2014.
“This will be followed by a Christian Wake and Service of Songs, at the ECWA Church, Lemu Road, Tudun Nupawa, Kaduna by 4pm. The next day, Wednesday, 26th February, 2014 the body will depart Kaduna by 7am from his residence, on Gora Close, Malali GRA, Kaduna for his village, Gora Bafai, in Zangon Kataf LGA.
“I wish to advise that all those who may wish to accompany the corpse, converge on the Refinery Junction, Kaduna by 7am, as there would be no delay in movement due to the important dignitaries that will be attending the burial.
“The Funeral Service and his final internment will start by 10am prompt.
“Those expected at the funeral service include Sambo; the Senate President David Mark; Governor Mukhtar Yero, among other important personalities too numerous to mention.
