Police arrest 14 MASSOB members in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested 14 persons suspected to be members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra.

A statement by the command said on Wednesday that the suspects were arrested at Amechi Idodo on the Enugu-Abakaliki Road by riot policemen on stop-and-search duty.

It said the suspects were travelling in a Ford Transit bus registered as Ebonyi AKL 400 YU.

The statement added that identity cards, MASSOB caps and banners with the inscription Agbegbe Must Go, were found on the suspects, who were now helping the police in their investigations.
