Kutigi Expresses Shock Over Cofab Delegate, Misau’s Death, Plenary Resumes Monday

national conferenceChairman of the National Conference, Justice Idris Kutigi, on Thursday, expressed shock over the death of a delegate, retired Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Hamma Misau.

This is contained in a statement by Assistant Secretary of the conference, Mr Akpandem James in Abuja on Friday.

It said the confab chairman expressed shock and disbelief as he announced news of the death of Misau on Thursday.

“While sympathising with the family and the entire nation, Kutigi, however, said it was gratifying to note that Misau died in the service of his country.

“He prayed to Allah to grant his soul eternal rest”, the statement said.

Misau was a delegate to the conference on the platform of Association of Retired Police Officers of Nigeria (ARPON).

James also announced that the plenary session of the conference would resume on Monday, March 31.
