Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Success are two familiar names from the victorious Golden Eaglets team from last year who have been named in the Nigeria Under-20 squad expected to reconvene in Abuja on Sunday ahead of a 2015 African Youth Championship qualifier.
About eight of the players, who helped the coach Manu Garba-led side to clinching a record fourth title for Nigeria on the Fifa Under-17 World Cup stage in the United Arab Emirate in November, has joined top European clubs and are part of the Flying Eagles provisional squad.
Other Europe-based players picked in the 35-man provisional squad are: Musa Muhammed (Besiktas,Turkey), Chidiebere Nwakali (Manchester City, England), Chidera Eze (FC Porto, Portugal), Musa Yahaya (Celta Vigo, Spain) and Sunday Alampasu, who is undergoing trials in Belgium.
