Confab: Act in national interest, Jonathan tells delegates

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday formally declared the National Conference, open.

He used the opportunity to urge delegates to act in national interest.

He promised that its outcome will be ‘turning-point for national development’.

Meanwhile, the president has said that the National Assembly has approved proposal to include conduct of referendum in the amendment of the new constitution.
