There is no place like home. This was the submission of Afrobeat singer, Sanni Dada, who could not wait longer to return to Nigeria after his recent musical tour of Europe.
The singer, who lives in both the People’s Republic of China and Nigeria, said the fact that he was home sick made him to return home immediately the tour ended.
He also stated that the responses from the audience were more encouraging than his past tours.
Dada, leader of a 15-piece band known as Afrokoko Roots and Afrobeat Ensemble, said he was happy performing some of his popular songs; Ayetoto and Kakrakakra.
He added, ‘‘The response was massive. I was so happy especially when I sang Ayetoto which borders on my life experience. It was informed by a nasty experience I had in Ghana where a close friend was having an affair with my wife. Each time I perform that song, I connect more with my soul and it gives me a different worldview.’’
