Anti-Corruption activist, Otunba Dino Melaye has boasted that the All Progressive Congress (APC) will win the 2015 general elections.
Melaye, who is eyeing the Kogi West senatorial seat come 2015 under the platform of the APC, said the opposition party will give Nigerians the desired changed for a better nation.
The former House of Representatives member said the ball was now in APC’s court to pull the country out of the woods as he declared that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is celebrating its political obituary.
Melaye stressed that the people of Kogi State were determined to enjoy the dividends of democracy which has eluded them since the return to democratic rule in 1999.
He said: “By the special grace of God come 2015, the opposition will demonstrate that power belong to the people. The structure we have is the masses and the masses of this country more than ever before will demonstrate that power truly belong to them. And for the first time it will be government of the people for the people and by the people because what we have now is the reverse, All Nigerians need to do is to listen to the voice inside them, the voice which has been telling them before now that, APC is the only solution”.
Melaye described the current wave of cross-carpeting from PDP to APC as movement from darkness to light and encouraged Nigerians to move en-mass to the opposition party.
The activist also alleged that the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) cannot conduct a free and fair election without the implementation of the Justice Mohamed Lawal Uwais report on electoral reforms.
