NGO supports Nyakrom School
Nyakrom (C/R), Oct 21, GNA – The Ghana Chapter of In-Covenant Ministry Fellowship, a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Chicago (USA), has presented building materials worth GH¢3,000 to Apostle William Brown College at Agona Nyakrom.
The items include 10 bags of cement, two boxes of nails, two tones of iron rods, three gallons of paints and three bundles of roofing sheets.
Mr Seth Wemegah, Country Director of the NGO, said the donation was in the response to appeal by the authorities of the College.
He said the donation will enable the College to improve upon its structures, especially classrooms and dormitories.
Mr Wemegah said the organization has imported 20 computers and accessories for the College to enhance its Information Communication Technology ICT teaching.
The Country Director said quality education is an essential tool for every child to become responsible adult in society and urged all and sundry to invest heavily in education.
He commended the Director of the College for offering scholarship to needy students to pursue further education.
He said the vision of the NGO was to help develop potentials of under-privileged children in the rural areas.
Reverend Agnes Danquah, Director of the College, thanked the NGO for the kind gesture and appealed to other organizations and corporate bodies to come to aid of the College.
She mentioned lack of transport as the major problem facing the College.
