President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Nigerian president isyet to totally erase the issue he had with Eedris Abdulkareem’s song ‘Jagajaga released under Keenis Music label in 2004. At an event organized by Nigerian Leadership Initiative, (NLI) where the Ota farmer was to present a paper, he once again criticised the rapper that a sane man wouldn’t have done a song like that about his country.

Last Tuesday, August 28, 2012, the former president expressed his disapproval of the ‘modern day youth towards Nigeria.’ He complained bitterly about the modern day youths, how they have lost interest in the country.

‘One of the worst problems Nigeria is facing is disbelief. Nigerians no longer believe in themselves neither do they believe in their country. That takes me back to that song ‘jaga jaga’, how could a sane man dare to call his country jagajaga? It is the height of blasphemy. We are grooming our youths for tomorrow’s leadership and with such persons I don’t think the country can move forward’ Obasanjo was quoted as saying. ‘Jaga jaga’ was released on Abdulkareem’s third solo album in 2004, and turned into a nationwide hit shortly after

What does baba Iyabo take us for ? push babies ? is he really serious about the r*****h he talked about Idris, so who is worse off here ? the one that sang a reality song or the one that stole the money ?
I am not in support of bad mouthing, but when you see the truth say it like Idris did, so OBJ please cover your face in shame and stop insulting and reminding us of the way Nigeria went deep down in your past term and your present term by extension. Sucking my teeth over all you Nigerian failed leaders.

Obj ruled Nigeria 2 times already ——14 February 1976 to 1st Oct 1979 and 29th May1999 to 29th May 2007 but did not alleviate the poverty. At the time Eedris sang that song Nigerians were really swimming in abject poverty and people could hardly eat a meal not to talk of 3 meal a day.People were scavenging bins for food even goes to bakeries at closing time to fight over left overs. Many children were suffering from Kwasiokor.Fela sang Suffering and smiling and that was why OBJ battled Fela to destruction and killings at Kalakuta.Am not surprise if he is battling Eedris.Like a f**l said Eedris should go beg Obj that he has cursed Eedris so why can Obj not use same mouth to bless Nigeria so that the JAGAJAGA disappear? Who introduce Operation feed the nation? Why was it introduced?Due to raw poverty that even vegetables cannot be afforded and was really bad.You need to some many families wearing rags and hunger written on the foreheads in CAPITAL LETTERS.LEAVE EEDRIS ALONE PLS.YOUR OWN DAUGHTER WAS MINISTER IN YOUR REGIME.Is Nigeria meant for you and your children?
