Pretoria – The ANC Youth League needs to consider its relationship with its parent body, Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe said on Friday.
He said the league could take any decision or action, but any such decision or action should not be “in conflict with the ANC constitution or policies”.
Motlanthe was addressing the league’s three-day lekgotla in Pretoria.
He said where the league had ideas in conflict with the ANC, these should be submitted for debate.
It was to be expected that young people would be radical.
But Motlanthe warned that “young people must guard against being intoxicated by past victories”.
