Mali beat Zambia to book 2013 AYC final place

Mali Under-20 beat Zambia Under-20 3-0 on Friday in Bamako to eliminate their guests from the 2013 African Youth Championships qualifiers.

The home sides win sees them qualify to the 2013 Algeria finals next March 5-2 on aggregate after earlier drawing 2-2 in the first leg played at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe on September 22.

Samba Diallo scored a brace for Mali at Stade Modibo Keita in Bamako on Friday evening to make sure of their ticket to Algiers.

Diallo put Mali ahead in the 37th minute to give the hosts a 1-0 lead into the break before Djekoro Keita made it 2-0 in the 59th minute.

Diallo completed his brace nine minutes later to ensure Mali secured their third successive appearance at the CAF African Youth Championship.
