Greek giants Panathinaikos have officially invited Wa All Stars winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi for a one month trial in January next year, GHANAsoccernet can exclusively reveal.
The youngster has been an integral part of the Wa-based side since joining them two seasons ago and bagged seven goals last season.
Gyamfi has been explosive in this season’s Ghana Premier League.
The 18 year old exclusively told GHANAsoccernet: “I understand they have scouts watching me even when I went to Golden Arrows so it wouldn’t be too difficult to secure a deal there if I try my best.”
He added that: “I had a one week trial at South African side Golden Arrows the Meteors went there and the coach (Middendorp) expressed interest in me but I was below 18 years by then so they told me to come back to Ghana and return in January.
“Fortunately our club president received an official invitation from Panathinaikos in Greece to have trials with them and all the documentations are ready so hopefully I’ll leave in January.”
The youngster can reunite with Ghana international Quincy Owusu Abeyie who is on loan with the Greek side.
