Six hundred and forty-three (643) deceased voters were deleted from the Biometric Voters Register in the Brong-Ahafo Region during the 10-day biometric voters exhibition exercise which ended barely two months ago.

They are made up of 417 men and 226 women,  Mr Samuel Boadu, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Director of the Electoral Commission (EC), told the GNA in an interview Sunyani on Wednesday.

He said only 834,698 voters made up of 414,345 men and 420,358 women representing 68.09 per cent of the 1,246,145 registered voters in the Region checked their names.

Mr Boadu said 389 names were objected to on the Provisional Voters’ Register with 397 voters filling for inclusion.
